Established by the International Institute of Refrigeration (IIR) in 2019, this global initiative aims to raise awareness of the vital role refrigeration technology plays in our everyday lives—from safeguarding food and medicine, to supporting life-saving healthcare systems, enabling modern industries, and contributing to climate action. Today, refrigeration has become an indispensable foundation for sustainable development worldwide.
